Introduction
Micro & Small Enterprises Cluster Development scheme provide financial assistance to establish Common Facility Centres (CFCs) in new and existing industrial areas. Ministry of MSMEs has developed this scheme with objective to enhance productivity and competitiveness of Mirco and Small Enterprises.
These CFCs can be used for testing, training centres, research and development, effluent treatment, raw material depot, complementing production process etc and to create or upgrade Infrastructural Facilities (IDs).
Infrastructural Facilities cover up power distribution network, water, telecommunication, drainage, pollution control facilities, roads, banks, raw materials storage and marketing outlets, common facilities and technological backup services for Micro and Small Enterprises in the new or existing industrial areas.
Benefit of Scheme
- Hard interventions, i.e., setting up of CFCs with maximum eligible project cost of Rs. 15 crore with Government of India contribution of 70% (90% for special category States and for clusters with more than 50% women or micro or village or SC or ST units).
- Infrastructure development in the new or existing industrial areas in which the maximum eligible project cost is Rs. 10 crore, with Government of India contribution amounting to 60% of project cost (80% for special category States and for clusters with more than 50% women/micro/SC/ST units).
Eligibility for Scheme
- Benefit of scheme is available to Clusters, Industrial associations or Consortia.
